Bus Mechanic

Position: HGV/Bus Mechanic
Location: Derby
Job Type: Permanent
Payrate: 21 per hour for day shifts 23 per hour for night shifts.
Shifts: Day and night availability (hours vary slightly depending on depot)

Job Summary:
As a successful PSV Mechanic, you will be instrumental in the maintenance of our client's buses, engaging in diagnostics, repairs, and servicing. Responsibilities for the PSV Mechanic:
Conduct safety checks and adhere to safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
Participate in equipment installations and upgrades as needed.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
Carry out maintenance and repairs on all bus vehicles.
Handle vehicles carefully, taking necessary precautions in the workshop and/or customer premises.
Diagnose and rectify faults.
Plan, prioritize, and execute the maintenance workload for site engineering personnel.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
Candidate Requirements:
NVQ Level 2/3 in heavy vehicle maintenance.
Proven experience in a maintenance role working on heavy vehicle systems.
Relevant technical qualifications in mechanical engineering or a related field.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Efficient, neat, and disciplined commercial vehicle technician.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Dedication to workplace safety and adherence to safety guidelines.
