Job Details
Based at Bankhead, Glenrothes and working at one of the Fife Council owned Bus Stations located at Dunfermline, Glenrothes, Kirkcaldy and Leven Bus Station, working 36 hours per week, temporary basis to cover a secondment, you will oversee the day-to-day operations within the Council owned Bus Station in a safe and effective manner and provide a customer focused point of contact for all users of the facility.
The job will require rota working which involves working on Saturdays and Sundays as well as evening working, with unsocial hours payment paid for working those hours.
This role, whilst initially based at Glenrothes Bus Station, will be required to work at other Bus Stations in Fife as well as being required to work overtime to cover for unforeseen workloads, sickness, and holiday relief. Travel expenses will be paid when working at other Bus Stations in Fife.

Key areas of work include:
- Provide advice/travel information and general assistance to the users of the Bus Station, dealing with any complaints in a professional and customer focused manner.
- Assisting with the day-to-day administrative duties within the Bus Station such as record keeping, cash collection, banking and preparing reports for the Lead Consultant or his staff as requested.
- Ensuring that the operation of buses within the Bus Stations is in accordance with the appropriate regulations and conditions of use ensuring that compliance is met with current health & safety.
- Liaising with bus operators and their staff in respect of day-to-day operational matters to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the Bus Station.

The Person
Educated to SCQF level 4, which includes National 4 or Standard Grades at General level or O’ Grades or equivalent.
Previous experience of working in a public transport role is desirable as is experience in a similar environment / facility. Proven customer care skills are also essential.
