Research & Enterprise Directorate at Queen’s University Belfast is currently seeking to appoint to the post of Business Alliance Manager (Agrifood and Nutrition).
This is an excellent opportunity to work with world-leading Agrifood and Nutrition researchers on developing new collaborations with industry to help make a meaningful impact on society and the economy, locally and globally. The postholder will lead on engaging with industry partners and research funders to secure high-quality funding for this valuable work.
The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:
- An honours degree or equivalent in a relevant subject area e.g. Biological Sciences, Food Science, Business Administration.
- Substantial relevant experience of working within a scientific research environment to include:
- An understanding of the delivery of research projects;
- Experience of developing the business case for a research project; and
- An appreciation of the priorities of professional research staff.
- Evidence of managing relationships and project management in a collaborative context within the Agrifood or Nutrition sector.
- Experience of working with the business community and personal responsibility for ensuring socio-economic outcomes are delivered.
- Practical experience of compiling grant/contract bids and the processes involved.
