Our government sector client is looking for a Business Analyst to join their team on a 3-month initial contract.
Responsibilities
- Analysis of new ideas relating to programme delivery - identifying what exists now, what is needed and any barriers.
- Development and evaluation of options for delivery.
- Using our Service Components Framework to help define the components in a Service.
- Creation of and input into context and strategic design artefacts.
- Handover of context and strategic design artefacts to delivery teams.
- Supporting detail analysis by delivery colleagues through providing rationales agreed in the design phase.
- The ideal candidate would be North West based as some travel around the UK (up to 3 days per week on site)
Skills Required:
- Proven strength in being able to synthesise viable options and appraise them in order to make recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills: experience of successful presentation to stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to work within a tight framework to identify and justify what is important to business areas.
- A track record of successful stakeholder management to achieve positive outcomes.
- Previous central government exp is essential
- Creation of and input into context and strategic design artefacts.
- Ability to understand and explain complexity.
- Use of Microsoft Office tools, including Visio.
- This is a business role, not technical.
In return, you will receive the opportunity to support a major government department going through a large transformation. Working on a three-month contract (possibility of extension) on a hybrid basis for the foreseeable, paying up to £475 p/day (in scope of IR35).
