Overview of the Role
Business Coordinator, Faculty of Medicine and Health
FTE 0.8-1.0 ( Two roles available)

Are you looking for a challenging role which enables you to work across a diverse range of activities and with a variety of people? Are you a problem solver and a decision maker, able to contribute to a wide range of tasks from operational and financial planning to strategic thinking? Do you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders? Would you like to play a pivotal role supporting the delivery of high quality research and student education activities?
As a member of the Business Support team you will provide efficient and effective support to either the Leeds Institute of Health Science (LIHS) or the Leeds Institute of Cardiovascular & Metabolic Medicine (LICAMM). You will ensure the effective day-to-day operational management of business operations processes, as well as being responsible for the line management and services delivered by the business operations team in the Institute. You will also be a focal point for business operations for the Institute, liaising closely with key School, Faculty and University functions to ensure compliance with University procedures and policies.
You will have a proactive focus with the ability to handle a busy workload efficiently and professionally. You should be able to demonstrate excellent communication and be able to initiate, build and manage networks (primarily across the Institute, School and Faculty), establishing effective working relationships, dealing diplomatically with a wide range of people and maintaining confidentiality.
Reporting into the Institute Business or Operations Manager and ultimately to the Faculty Operations Director, you will work closely with the Head of School/Institute(s), senior Academics and the business/administration team(s), ensuring the successful day-to-day business operations of the School/Institute.
This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
