BUSINESS CONTINUITY PLANNER

  • Office based in Manchester
  • Salary up to £50,000 per annum + benefits!

Opportunity to work with teams across the organisation with the ongoing development of our Business Continuity Management System including business impact analysis across multiple sites as well as departmental and site-wide Business Continuity plans.

You will provide ongoing training and awareness across the business, creating and facilitating table-top exercises with crisis response teams to validate content and practical use of departmental Business Continuity plans, including the use of Emergency Notification System.

THE BUSINESS CONTINUITY PLANNER ROLE:

  • Engaging with new teams and departments to on board and create their BIA/BCP documentation.
  • Scheduling reviews of existing BIA/BCPs for all sites to ensure they remain valid and in date.
  • Providing BIA output reporting highlighting known recovery/resilience gaps for review and mitigation as appropriate.
  • Mentoring and guiding staff to maintain awareness and enforce BC Policy, strategy and standards.
  • Supporting the organisation with the continual improvement program for BC and operational resilience.
  • Supporting post disruptive event reviews to track effectiveness, challenges, refinement opportunities and reflection into response planning and operational resilience framework.

BUSINESS CONTINUITY PLANNER - ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Demonstrable project management skills to support data collection, delivery and sign off of milestones, whilst managing changing priorities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels with a high level of persuasion.
  • Previous operational experience in Business Continuity or related fields.
  • Experience of or familiarity with ISO standards, BCI Good Practice guidelines and BC program management.
