Job description

Main Purpose of our Business Development Advisors: Working in a commercial fast paced environment to deliver an employer engagement service to increase the number of employers who access and influence the services of the college and are retained and developed as customers. The suitable candidate will be expected to work to targets and strive to exceed those targets, ensuring consistency, accuracy and professionalism at all times. We are looking for a candidate with a strong knowledge of apprenticeships, T-levels and Work based learning; a candidate with experience of delivering employer engagement strategies, and someone with the ability to prepare and implement sales campaigns. Key responsibilities for Business Development Advisors at Oldham College: Be responsible for growing new business with employers and support colleagues to grow existing business undertaking a proactive consultative selling approach with customers providing training needs analysis, workforce development planning, succession planning and support to businesses. To meet and exceed monthly targets including apprenticeship vacancy generation and apprenticeship retention and work experience and work placement opportunities for study programme students. Achieve individual and team targets in a timely manner ensuring contingencies for under performance. Initiate, develop and manage customer relationships with employers, in line with the sector strategy, maintaining an up to date knowledge of sector developments with an in-depth knowledge of Frameworks and Standards. Develop employer relationships to support Study Programme work experience opportunities and T level substantive work placement opportunities. Be able to develop and deliver presentations to groups of employers on the benefits of Apprenticeship, work experience and placements and traineeships. To be successful as a Business Development Advisor with Oldham College, you will need: Strong track record of Business Development and sales, including delivery to targets. Strong knowledge of apprenticeships and work based learning. Experience of delivering employer engagement strategies.
