Key Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Business Development Executive, you will support the growth of the business by:
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through research, networking, social media, email, and cold calling
- Create target prospect lists based on industry, company size, number of employees and other metrics
- Leverage internal CRM tool to manage opportunities, proposals, quotes, meetings, call backs, and communication tracking
- Develop and maintain relationships with prospective client contacts
- Develop and deliver sales action plans with key strategies, objectives, and targets to increase revenue and aggressively acquire new accounts
- Manage marketing resources in the development of proposals and presentations to prospects, including customer needs assessment, identification of required resources, management of customer expectations, and all subsequent follow-up necessary to close or expand existing business
- Work with the team to hit department and company sales goals
Requirements:
- At least three years’ experience in a similar role (this is preferable, but not essential),
- A proven track record in achieving and exceeding targets through planning and executing effective sales strategies
- Experience in communicating over the phone, via email with customers, suppliers and colleagues
- Good organisational skills
- A fast learner of products and services – and be willing to keep developing and enhancing this knowledge
- Driven to achieve and exceed targets
- Attentive to detail, with an organised approach to everything you do
- A skilled negotiator and calm under pressure
- Willing to go the extra mile.
