Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of a forward thinking, well-established promotional merchandise company. Our client is looking for a candidate who is passionate about sales and care about exceeding targets and building strong client relationships.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Business Development Executive, you will support the growth of the business by:

  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through research, networking, social media, email, and cold calling
  • Create target prospect lists based on industry, company size, number of employees and other metrics
  • Leverage internal CRM tool to manage opportunities, proposals, quotes, meetings, call backs, and communication tracking
  • Develop and maintain relationships with prospective client contacts
  • Develop and deliver sales action plans with key strategies, objectives, and targets to increase revenue and aggressively acquire new accounts
  • Manage marketing resources in the development of proposals and presentations to prospects, including customer needs assessment, identification of required resources, management of customer expectations, and all subsequent follow-up necessary to close or expand existing business
  • Work with the team to hit department and company sales goals

Requirements:

  • At least three years’ experience in a similar role (this is preferable, but not essential),
  • A proven track record in achieving and exceeding targets through planning and executing effective sales strategies
  • Experience in communicating over the phone, via email with customers, suppliers and colleagues
  • Good organisational skills
  • A fast learner of products and services – and be willing to keep developing and enhancing this knowledge
  • Driven to achieve and exceed targets
  • Attentive to detail, with an organised approach to everything you do
  • A skilled negotiator and calm under pressure
  • Willing to go the extra mile.
