The individual is responsible for taking ownership of, managing, and cultivating sales and hire opportunities for d&b Solutions and its brands, within the UK, with a specific emphasis on the northern region. The primary focus is on selling our AVLM products and services. The role involves personally representing d&b Solutions and its brands through frequent client visits, meetings, demonstrations and participation in tradeshows/events. Travel within the UK, including overnight stays, is an integral part of the role, and maintaining professionalism while representing d&b Solutions.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the marketing team and Head of Business Development for Theatre in driving the strategy for d&b Solutions in the North of England.
- Able to demonstrate products to customers with a technical focus
- Support income generation for d&b Solutions by selling products and services through client research, qualification, networking, and relationship management.
- Represent d&b Solutions brands at tradeshows, customer events, and client entertainment events.
- Update the company's CRM system (Salesforce) with leads, sales opportunities, activities, and account management.
- Accurately pass sales inquiries to the sales division, working alongside the team to close orders, ensure customer satisfaction, retention, and repeat business.
- Complete administration duties in accordance with the company's policies.
- Work within a general expense budget.
Technical Skills
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role, ideally with a understanding of the theatre market in the North of England.
- Experience in managing and developing new and existing business.
- Proven financial acumen, including margin, revenue, and forecast management.
- Detailed understanding/awareness of AVLM products and services sought after by target markets.
- Competent in researching, synthesizing, and communicating information internally.
- Proven IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), CRM, and sales software (experience with Salesforce would be ideal)
