A brilliant opportunity has come up for a Business Development Manager to work with a world-renowned, leading corrugated packaging company that works in the Retail, Ecommerce, Furniture, FMCG, Industrial, and Automotive markets. The Business Development Manager must be determined and accomplished in sales as they require someone who is looking to further their career and help with the continuous growth of the company.

They are now actively looking to recruit salespeople who enjoy being on the road 3-4 days a week, prospecting new customers, building on their successes and enjoy the buzz of hitting targets. Additionally, there will be a good element of account management where you will nurture and grow a portfolio of customers, which will involve the introduction of new products and ensuring there is complete customer satisfaction.
The role will also require the Business Development Manager to look at new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, services prospection, negotiation and commercial follow up of UK customers and branching out further afield acting in the markets targeted by the organisation. You will play an active part in the development of the sales budget, monitor revenue and margins, promote the image of the company and you will continue with the improvement of the initiatives of the company.
They are looking to recruit the successful candidate immediately; however, you must have or hold:
- 2-3 years+ in a Business Development type role in packaging
- Have a great understanding of the UK market.
- Ideally the business is looking for someone with experience of corrugated or similar. Alternatively, if you come from the food & drink industry this would be an advantage.
- You must be happy developing new business opportunities and building on your successes.
- A sense of business relationships and customer service
- High interest in the technical dimension of the products
- Experience of dealing with buyers and stakeholders
- Must be used to winning new business and managing key accounts
