Business Development Manager - nationwide
As our next Business Development Manager, you’ll support the development and implementation of our Intermediary Distribution Strategy for YBS Commercial. In this exciting opportunity, you will expand and develop key relationships on a National basis that help shape and grow our Commercial Lending business.
About the Role
In this role, you will be required to develop broker relationships, generating high quality new business applications and deepening relationships across our broker panel. In addition you will gather market intelligence and use your own market knowledge to contribute to the strategic direction in which our Commercial Lending business is heading.
You will build and maintain effective relationships with other colleagues across our Regional hubs and Marketing team to ensure that we have an effective promotional approach in the market. You will be the external face of YBS Commercial Mortgages through presenting at key industry events which will raise our brand profile and awareness.
A big part of this role is to ensure you have an appropriate intermediary governance framework in place. This will ensure that when any meetings with existing and potential intermediaries are had, all of the information is gathered and analysed to mitigate any risks to the society.
About You
You’ll bring your excellent knowledge of the Commercial Lending industry to YBS and also provide market knowledge on competitors and products
You’ll have the ability to build and maintain strong key relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
We’ll require you to be able to evidence your sales techniques, negotiation and presentation skills when dealing with senior stakeholders at CEO, CFO & Business Owner level
Within this role, you will be asked to provide your practical knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements
You’ll often be asked to translate strategic priorities into clear business and sales outcomes and be able to confidently discuss these
