Role:Business Development Manager
Location: Workington
They are looking to recruit for a highly capable and experienced Business Development Manager to assist the company deliver our growth targets over the next 5 years. We require a dynamic and results driven person who has a depth of experience and proven track record in sourcing suitable opportunities and developing Client relationships in this sector delivering a variety of Demolition and Enabling Works projects.
The successful candidate will hold full responsibility and accountability for identifying opportunities with Developers, Investors, Local Authorities and Main Contractors and will play a crucial role in the growth of the Company.
Duties & Responsibilities:
As a Business Development Manager you will ultimately be responsible and accountable to the Pre-Construction Manager for identifying and securing a pipeline of suitable Projects for the Demolition & Remediation business. As part of this you will play a key role in meeting clients with a view to increasing the profile of the company. Your other roles and responsibilities will include but not limited to:
• Identifying tender opportunities and maintaining a pipeline of tender opportunities
with Developers, Investors, Local Authorities and Main Contractors.
• Reviewing and briefing the Company on Contract Scope of Works.
• Ensuring client satisfaction during Pre-Contract stages and ensuring deadlines are
• Assist in preparing bid and tender documentation for Presentation to Clients including
Tender Offer Letters and PQQ’s.
• Keep up to date with industry best practice.
• Meet with potential clients regularly and promote the company and seminars and
• Provide regular updates of market changes and opportunities.
• Maintain a Database of Opportunities and ensure this is updated regularly.
Skills & Qualifications:
• Ideally a Chartered Member of an Institution with a recognised University and/or
professional qualification in Construction or Demolition
• Full UK Driving Licence
• CSCS/NTDG Site Visitor Card Mandatory (Training can be provided for the right
candidate)
• Experience with Demolition and Enabling Works projects including but not limited to
Asbestos Removal, Soft Strip, Earthworks and Remediation.
• Proficient in all Microsoft office including Word and Outlook.
• Be able to organise yourself and others workload.
• Be proactive in your approach.
• An excellent communicator.
• A high level of diplomacy and customer focused.
• Able to travel throughout the UK

• The Salary range for this role is between £28,000 - £35,000 dependant on experience plus
• Commission with a potential OTE of up to £65,000.
• They would consider a Part Time position or someone requiring Flexible Hours of Working.
• This Role will be based remotely but the successful candidate will be expected to meet regularly with the business at locations throughout the North of England.
