The University of Liverpool's Shared Research Facilities (LIV-SRF) is excited to announce a new opportunity for an enterprising and results-driven professional to join our team as a Business Development Manager. Reporting to the LIV-SRF Business Manager, this pivotal role is designed to spearhead external engagement and unlock strategic business opportunities for LIV-SRF. In this influential position, you will be at the forefront of driving awareness about the cutting-edge equipment and expertise available within LIV-SRF to external stakeholders. Your mandate extends to not only increasing contract research, collaborations, and consultancy work in LIV-SRF facilities, but also exploring innovative opportunities for external organisations to leverage laboratory and office spaces within our Faculty and University. You will play a central role in fostering research activities, facilitating Knowledge Exchange (KE), and nurturing lasting partnerships that align with the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences’ objectives. To thrive in this role, you will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, underpinned by a proven track record in Business Development, preferably within emerging science and technology sectors. While experience in the higher education sector is desirable, a collaborative mindset and a strong customer service orientation are essential. You should have a degree or equivalent qualification, or relevant professional experience. This post is available on a fixed term basis for 2 years in the first instance.
