Our Client, a market leader in technology solutions are currently recruiting for Business Development Manager to join their team.
This role is a mix of both New Business and Account Management.
Location – Office based between Harrogate and York and will be hybrid.
Salary – £40,000-£60,000 depending on experience and industry knowledge.
Duties and responsibilities
- Becoming an expert in the business’ products, features, benefits and the markets to which they are to be applied.
- Engage with and understand prospect and customer needs.
- Generate new business sales leads via phone and other channels.
- Attend structured face to face and/or virtual meetings with potential clients and customers.
- Be involved in the planning, development and delivery of face-to-face and online campaigns.
- Qualify the opportunity and align with suitable products to ensure ROI.
- Represent and present the business and its products to individuals and groups.
- Ensure that the customer is comfortable with the offerings at all levels of stakeholder including the business, technical and procurement.
- Understand the commercial challenges of both the business and its customers.
- Negotiate, manage procurement, conclude business and handle objections.
- Build new and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders at customers and maximise usage of products.
- Actively manage accounts under your responsibility to grow future business.
- Plan time, meetings, agendas, objectives and campaigns efficiently and in advance.
- Keep accurate records such as site visit notes and work with colleagues in the wider team to meet the companies’ values and objectives.
Experience Required:
- Previous experience of sales in a tech/Public Sector/healthcare background highly preferred (at least 3 years).
- Ability to drive business forward and actively develop new and existing business relationships.
- Proven experience of networking, influencing and forming effective relationships with future customers, stakeholders and internal staff.
- Be presentable and a confident public speaker.
