This is an exciting opportunity to join the Improvement team and Informatics team at Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who enjoys exploring data, building complex models, and communicating findings that will have a high impact on service design, development and delivery, to the benefit of our patients and service-users.Key in this role with be supporting the realisation of the trust strategy from a data perspective including Business Intelligence, KPI monitoring and supporting the development of ward to board reporting.

The Information Services comprises of Informatics, Contract Monitoring and Data Quality teams. Information Services is responsible for providing analytical support and intelligence to both internal and external customers of the Trust.
This is a split role with 50% of the time within the Improvement team and 50% of time within Informatics. This creates a unique opportunity for a creative and innovative Data Specialist to have access and develop Business Intelligence, whilst engaging with clinical teams.
Improvement Service duties
  • Provide analytical support to the Trust, the Improvement Team, and associated partner organisations, including:
  • Using creative data manipulation to support problem identification and provide situational analysis.
  • Development of bespoke data collection tools;
  • Establishing improvement measures at outset of a project ensuring monitoring during the project.
  • Working independently to enable local improvement teams and projects to use data with confidence.
Information services Reporting
  • Lead the development and rollout of agreed dashboards on Qlikview/Qliksense.
  • Produce and present divisional KPI monitoring reports at the relevant divisional meetings attended by the Trust’s senior operational team.
  • Regularly benchmark the Trust’s position for key business intelligence metrics against an agreed peer group.
  • Regular production and dissemination of reports against specific data quality KPIs to ensure appropriate management action.
  • Responsible for the receipt, review and processing of high complex and sensitive datasets for assigned division.
  • Responsible for the accurate documentation of the logic used for report extraction.
