AddressAnderson Knight has a fantastic new opportunity with a leading manufacturing business for a Business Intelligence Analyst.
The Business Intelligence Analyst will support team initiatives that deliver comprehensive data reporting to all levels of group reporting taking into account the quality, integrity and compliance of data across the sites the incumbent will assist in the implementation of MS Power BI tools and strategies that will help the organisation to achieve its longer-term ambitions.
In this strategic position, you will also share responsibility for the processing and management of Master data.
You will be working closely with Operations, Sales, Purchasing, Finance, Technical and other business functions to ensure Master data readiness and compliance.
Your Main Duties include:
• Support global business analytics strategy by contributing to execution of critical data reporting and analysis activities that align to business needs.
• Maintain Microsoft Power BI and provide bespoke reporting support for end users.
• Carry out successful and error free database programming and deployment of IT development projects, data and reporting.
• Provide estimates and agree schedules within a framework for report delivery with business users .
• Maintain database documentation, including standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata).
• Actively involved in master data setups, validations and periodic maintenance of information in the master data template.
• Work closely with various business functional teams to resolve master data issues as needed while ensuring compliance and consistency of master data across business systems
About the Candidate
• Hands-on Power BI development role (1-2 years)
• T-SQL including the use of stored procedures, functions, tables, triggers and views
• Ability to develop collaborative relationships with customers and stakeholders
• Strong technical background in Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse, or SQL Server development.
• Experience of the Microsoft SQL Server BI stack, including T-SQL, SSIS, and ETL.
• Able to summarise and provide clear written communications and materials
• Demonstrable interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Practical, output driven hands-on approach to programming
