About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the thriving Business Rates team!  The role is accountable to the Business Rates Team Leaders within the Revenues and Benefits service in West Northamptonshire Council, there is no responsibility for direct line management.

What will you be doing?

Working in the Business Rates team you will develop and maintain an up to date knowledge of Business Rates legislation allowing you to ensure accurate billing and collection of Business Rates to businesses within the West Northamptonshire area to assist the service in attaining its collection rate targets.

As a customer focused service you will be required to provide a high quality and customer focused service to businesses through various channels including email, written correspondence, phone and in person as required.

About you

You will be a hard working, conscientious and self-motivated individual with strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.  Past experience of working in a Revenues environment would be beneficial but not essential.
