We are currently looking for a highly motivated and experienced Business Studies Teacher to join a team within a secondary school based in Durham. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons to GCSE and BTEC students, as well as Six form students.
Your new role
- Delivering engaging and interactive lessons on Business Studies to students at GCSE and BTEC level
- Preparing lesson plans and teaching materials in advance
- Setting and marking homework and assessments
- Monitoring and tracking student progress, and providing regular feedback to students and parents
- Creating a positive and stimulating learning environment
- Ensuring all teaching and learning activities are in line with the school\'s policies and procedures
What you\'ll need to succeed
- Qualified teacher status
- Strong subject knowledge and experience teaching Business Studies to GCSE and BTEC students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and other stakeholders
- Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success
- Flexibility to work a full timetable contract starting in March or possibly earlier till end of July 2024
