I am currently recruiting for a Business Support Team Administrator on behalf of my client, a leading public sector organisation based in Leeds (LS1).
As a Business Support Team Assistant Administrative, you’ll thrive on supporting the Highways depots, for the provision of administrative and clerical support to 3 Highways Depots (Seacroft, Pottery Fields, Henshaw) including payroll documentation for highways operatives, goods ordering, administration of the requirements of the Traffic Management Act.
The Business Support Team carry out essential daily tasks to ensure our colleagues in the DLO’s can deliver against our statutory duties. An annual budget of £14M+ is spent on ongoing highway maintenance and repair, all these transactions will be processed through the Business Support Team.
Duties of the Business Support Administrator will include:
- Work with high levels of accuracy for tasks such as checking documents and recording numerical and alphabetical information.
- Manage own workload adhering to time scales and deadlines.
- Carry out general administrative duties.
- Abide by the Equality and Diversity and Health and Safety Policies.
- Understanding of legal business, financial audit, confidential and operational requirements of the service and the impact on its day-to-day work.
- Telephone enquiries.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Interpersonal and communications skills with a range of people including face-to-face, telephone and written communication skills. Including the process for dealing with varied information with a range of audiences.
- Ability to coordinate and prioritise tasks.
- Working with and within multiple teams of staff.
- Working on own initiative to adhere to timescales and deadlines.
- Knowledge of the applications, systems and IT programmes utilised by the service and being able to accurately record and retrieve information.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills and the ability to deal with complex tasks with support.
- An understanding of the importance of providing excellent customer services
This role is full time, Monday- Thursday 7.30- 15.30, 7.30- 15.00 Friday. Pay rate is £11.59 per hour (PAYE).
