About the role

This role is for 27.5 hrs a week - ideally with hours of 9-3pm (there may be slight flexibility)

This is an exciting time to jour our Assistive Technology Team! We're a new local authority, created in April 20.  We're at the beginning of our journey of shaping what the Assistive Technology Team looks like at West Northants Council, so there is plenty of opportunity to develop processes, and shape our offering so we can provide the best possible service to our colleagues.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, flexible to be part of a busy team.  The successful candidate will provide a confidential administrative function and support to Manager and Team Members.  Using appropriate IT systems, procedures and resources, to support a team providing a high quality service that is delivered to our customers.

You will be organised, self motivated, working to and ensuring deadlines are met.  Duties will include a wide range of administrative support, responding to standard enquiries and correspondence.  Inputting to various IT and customer management systems, minute taking and management of financial system

What will you be doing?

This is an office based administration role, answering calls, invoice queries, email enquiries.  Supporting the Equipment Officers with their paperwork, booking of appointments using Outlook calendars and our in house systems.

This is a varied role.

About you

You don’t need experience across all aspects of the job as that will form part of your development journey, but you will need experience of word, excel, answering of the telephone and general admin experience, as this is the central to the role.

You’ll need to have a solutions driven and adaptable approach to working, thrive in a busy environment with a positive approach to challenges!

Ideally you will have previous experience of working in a busy office. You will be able to smoothly manage a busy email inbox and following processes whilst being able use your own initiative to 'think outside of the box’. You’ll use your great attention to detail to ensure the day to day running of the team, runs smoothly.
