Business Support Assistant
Location – Based at Guildhall, Wrexham
Salary – G05 - £24,294 - £25,119 Pro rata – 3 days per week – Temporary (12 months)
Secondment Opportunity
We are looking to appoint a Business Support Assistant to undertake a wide range of duties to support the delivery of electoral services, including inputting of applications to register to vote and applications to vote by post or proxy, as well as dealing with internal and external enquiries.
You will need to be flexible as there will be a requirement to work full time hours during the section’s busy periods. You may also be required to work extended hours including evenings, weekends and bank holidays i.e. during an election or the annual canvass timetable.
You will be expected to be a strong team player and demonstrate strong organisational skills within a regulatory framework. Candidates must have extensive IT skills, including Word and Excel and knowledge of the Civica Xpress software system would be an advantage. You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and work with a high degree of accuracy.
The successful candidate will need to be able to confidently deal with members of the public, elected members, Members of Parliament and Members of the Senedd.
