Job description

We have a fantastic opportunity to provide support to children and families in the Child Care Assessment Team within the Social Services and Housing directorate.


The Child Care Assessment Team is a statutory team that undertakes child protection and family support work with families under the remit of the Social Services and Well Being Act (Wales) Act 2014 and related codes of practice.


The CCAT Admin Support Assistant will be based within the child care assessment team and will be required to take minutes of meetings, to complete chronologies, genograms, update systems with regards to addresses and names, to support with requests and queries, such as financial and transport and will undertake checks for MARAC as and when requested by the Lead Senior Social Worker for MARAC. The admin assistant will be supporting with telephone calls received and other tasks assigned by the social workers and or managers. The Admin Assistant will be supervised regularly by a manager and will have opportunities to apply for all relevant training.


We provide a supportive working structure across all of our social care teams, ensuring you have all you need to perform to the best of your abilities, whilst doing a job you love. Supporting this team would provide opportunities to contribute directly to the work and for personal development and further training opportunities will be available.


Successful applicants will have five GCSEs Grade C or equivalent and have previous Administrative experience.
