Novax Recruitment is actively seeking a Business Support Officer in Barry. This is a contract without a scope for extension working full time hours.
The job:
- To process invoices for Building & Housing Services including invoices from stores, ensuring correctly authorised and batched for payment within set corporate timescales
- Raising orders with agreed suppliers and procuring materials and supplies in accordance with Council's procurement policy
- To process information/data from mobile working system to facilitate job progression through all stages
- Maintenance of relevant employee records within the service to include timesheets, flexible working, leave, sickness absence and training information
- Provision of general office duties including office administration, customer care, consultation, surveys and complaints management.
The candidate:
- Previous experience in similar role
- Demonstrable work history for the local authority, preferably in a similar role
- Excellent MS Office skills
- At least GSCE C / level 4
