Business Unit Financial Controller
We are seeking an experienced Business Unit Financial Controller to join the Controlling Team. As Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in improving processes, driving cost efficiency, and standardising finance practices. Your responsibilities cover operational financial management, accounting, reporting and forecasts.
You will be key to enhancing internal control policies, making sure our financial processes are strong and streamlined. Key Responsibilities
- Working within a robust internal controls framework, ensuring control procedures are relevant and operating effectively
- Ensuring balance sheet reconciliations are complete, reviewed and compliant with UK&I reconciliation requirements
- Responsibility for the external audit and Group and UK&I internal audits and Financial Controls & Assurance reviews
- Supporting reporting units in business reviews and FD and Senior FBP in customer reporting activities
- Balance sheet control activities, including completeness and accuracy of prepayments, accruals, fixed assets, contract receivables, provisions etc
- Income Statement control activities, including analytical review procedures, customer profitability analysis, payroll review, overhead management
- Ensuring accuracy of period-end financial closing processes including timely and accurate reporting and forecasting of financial performance
About You
- Qualified ACCA, ACA, CIMA
- Proven experience in similar role, combining accounting and finance experience
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Effective multitasker (able to work on multiple customers in parallel)
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
