Production ManagerLlanelli£45000 - £55000 PAThe companyThis automotive component manufacturer based in Llanelli is currently looking for an experienced Production Manager to join their team. The company is part of an internationally represented group with an impressive history and progressive approach, continually adding new products and technologies.The RoleThis is an exciting and responsible position reporting into the companies Operations Manager. The role is full time and permanent working:Monday - Thursday 08:00AM - 04:30PMFriday 08:00AM - 01:00PMYou will be responsible for leadership, management and overall results of the production team through effective management of tactical and strategic improvement plans via your direct reports and the overall team.Duties and responsibilities will include:Management of financial aspects, budget, stock, overtime, staffingManage performance improvements through effective planning and KPI achievementConsistently achieve quality standardsMeasurement of effective quality managementUnderstanding of scrap and rework levels and reducing in line with business objectivesBuild and promote teamworkLead and drive daily and weekly production meetingsEnsure all activity meet or exceed required standardsUnderstanding and administering company policies and procedures for people managementEnsure adherence to plant emergency plansAdherence to layered auditsEnsure adequate cover for periods of supervision absenceDevelopment of employees by identifying training needs, formulating personal development and succession plansWork with customers to address quality, cost / delivery concernsIdentify opportunities to further improve H&S and implement agreed plansPromote Best Practice within the organisationRequirementsThe successful applicant will have the following qualifications, skills and attributes:Previous managerial experience in a fast paced production environmentLeadership / management qualificationExperienced in creation and implementation of strategic plansSolid problem solving and organisational skillsExperienced in staff development and motivationA driven leader who strives for quality excellenceA 'can do' attitude and the ability to inspire the teamIn ReturnThe salary is negotiable based on previous experience and skills.
