An opportunity has arisen for a skilled Buyer with a background in contract procurement within the Industrial / Manufacturing sector. The role is based in Bridgend and will involve ensuring materials are acquired at optimal cost and timely manner.

Description

• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts, prices, and timelines.
• Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
• Conduct market research to identify new potential suppliers.
• Ensure procurement activities align with overall business objectives.
• Develop procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
• Prepare and implement effective negotiation tactics.
• Help in fostering an environment of teamwork within the procurement department.

Profile

A successful 'Buyer should have:

• Experience in industrial / manufacturing procurement.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to network and influence suppliers.
• Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
• Knowledge of supplier or third party management software.
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
