Are you an experienced procurement or purchasing professional looking for a new challenge?
Due to external progression, our client’s Procurement team are seeking a Buyer to join the team. This is a great opportunity to join them at a time of change supporting with the integration of new suppliers into the Group. Starting from 1st April, in this role you will be supporting the Procurement & Category Manager to deliver a pipeline of sourcing projects, including:
Co-ordinating and managing a range of assigned sourcing projects up to the procurement threshold
Supporting internal stakeholders on the procurement journey from establishing the requirement and procurement strategy, to tendering, contract award and implementing contract management
Delivering savings, added value and social value
The role will be a hybrid position, contracted to 36.25 hours per week. To them, this means home-working with an expectation of some presence in their Boston office on a weekly basis or any other office as required (we are open to discussion around how this is built into working weeks). A large portion of their Procurement Team are based in their Boston office, with colleagues dotted around their geography too.
As a Buyer, you will help the business to identify a need/requirement through to competing the requirement, putting a contract in place and advising the business on the appropriate contract management strategy. Typically, these will be wide-ranging sourcing events or contracts that deliver goods and services to the Group.
To be successful in this role you you’ll have prior experience in a Buying / Purchasing environment, ideally with a knowledge of procurement regulations and PCR 2015. However, if you’re taking your first step into world of Procurement and have transferrable skills around e-sourcing systems with an ability to interpret, analyse and present data alongside building great relationships, this might be the role for you.
