Due to continued growth and the securing of major contracts, my client is looking to recruit an experience aerospace and aviation buyer.

My client is an industry leading engineering company, that specialises in Research and Development for the Aerospace sector, which allows them to carry out specialist repairs on electronic, electrical and mechanical equipment for clients such as Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier and many more.

The successful candidate will report to the Commercial Team Leader and the primary purpose of the job will be to manage all aspects of purchasing, to ensure all component parts and materials are available to production in order to maximise production output at the best negotiated purchase prices.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer looking to receive first class training that will see them become an expert R&D Engineer, with a skillset that includes electronic, electrical, avionic and mechanical engineering.

This role offers lots of progression opportunities, a bonus and overtime at an increased rate.

The Role:
*Establish and implement purchasing policies, procedures and best practices
*Monitor ongoing compliance with purchasing policies and procedures
*Direct procurement policies to ensure all items are purchased and delivered within budget and time constraints
*Identify and source new suppliers / vendors as well as managing existing ones

The Candidate:
*Previous experience working as a buyer
*Previous experience in aviation / aerospace
*Lives a commutable distance from Saffron Walden
