Form of workOur client is seeking a talented and motivated Buyer to join their team on a temporary basis. If you have experience in purchasing and inventory management in a distribution environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
As a Buyer, you will be responsible for managing a number of portfolio of products and suppliers at a European level. Your duties will include optimising customer satisfaction and service levels, managing inventory plans and purchase orders, and improving supplier delivery performance.
Hours: Monday - Friday 9am-5pm
Pay rate: 15.91ph
Fully on site - No hybrid working
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in process design and improvement to optimise time management
- Analyse data and recommend sound decisions, escalating when necessary
- Manage all aspects of inventory management and build relationships with suppliers
- Track purchase order shipments and take necessary actions in case of delays
- Contribute to improvements and cost savings initiatives
- Proactively manage supplier relationships and drive improved performance
Required Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience in purchasing/inventory management
- Excellent analytical skills and intermediate/advanced Excel knowledge
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated organisational abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
