Buying Assistant - Baby products

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-driven individual to join our team as a Buying and Product Assistant, specialising in Baby products. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the product development process specifically for our range, ensuring the smooth operation of our purchasing activities in this category.

Responsibilities:

- Assist the Product team in sourcing and selecting Baby products that align with our company's Brand and target market.

- Conduct market research specific to the Baby products industry to identify new trends, competitors, and potential suppliers.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date product information in our inventory management system.

- Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of our products.

- Assist in the creation and maintenance of product catalogues and pricing lists.

- Support the product development process by coordinating sample requests, tracking samples, and providing feedback to suppliers.

- Support with Technical and Compliance administration required for our product categories.

- Provide administrative support to the buying team, including data entry, filing, and organising documents.

Requirements:

- Minimum of 6 months administration experience.

- Previous experience in a buying or product assistant role would be preferable. Knowledge of the Baby industry would be an advantage but not essential.

- Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to identify market trends and opportunities specifically for Baby products.

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with baby product suppliers.

- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.

- Passion for learning, and our Brand is essential.

- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
