We’re excited to share an opportunity for an ambitious, creative and talented individual looking to expand their buying career.

We have an exciting opportunity looking for a Buying Assistant on our women’s fashion brands department. You’ll report directly into the Junior Buyer for the area, so lots of opportunity to further develop your skills.

About the role

Day to day you will understand the category critical path and supply chain, whilst undertaking administrative support for the buying function. You will be responsible for sample management and maintaining the sample library.

We’re looking for a Buying Assistant who already has experience at this level, having buying experience or relevant transferable skills in a relevant profession and can demonstrate a strong understanding and passion for buying.

The skills and behaviours imperative to being a successful Buying Assistant candidate here at The Very Group are; commercially aware, able to build relationships, methodical approach, passionate, strong communication skills, can demonstrate initiative, enjoys problem solving and interpreting data and you must have excellent attention to detail.

About you

Previous experience in buying as a Buying Assistant or buyers admin assistant is beneficial but not essential.

A passion for online retailing, product and trends.

Understanding of the target customer.

Ability to prioritise and manage workload.

A great attitude and willingness to learn.

Proficient in Excel.

2nd Stage – A one-hour formal interview where you can expect both competency and technical questions. This can be held either in-person or remotely.
