We are seeking a talented, experienced and highly motivated C# Developer to join our established Development Team. In this role, you will play an integral part in new, ongoing and maintenance development of our C# Applications and integrations with the VisualFiles platform. Work alongside other Developers, Business Analysts and Testers within an Agile Scrum Team, so effective communication is a core skill, particularly when working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and non-technical staff.We are looking for a detail-orientated individual who can work both independently and collaboratively on a range of platforms including WPF, RESTApis, Integrations and Microservices using C#.
Whilst not essential, having a background in Insurance, particularly Claims Handling or the VisualFiles system would be a significant advantage.
Role: C# Developer
Location: Hybrid between home and Sevenoaks/Liverpool Offices preferred, but homeworking available.
Working hours: 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday from 9am to 5:30pm
Salary: GBP35,000 to GBP47,500 (Dependent on experience)
What you will be doing:
- Development and maintenance of a range of applications and systems which will integrate with the Visualfiles platform and associated systems using SOLID and Dry Principles.
- Scoping, creating and maintaining APIs using Microservices to support our system architecture migration.
- Developing applications and integrations in C# using the VisualFiles SDK.
- Work closely with the Agile Management Office to guide the BAs when scoping new development requests as to best practices and approaches to process/screen/workflow/application setup.
- Review code produced by other Developers.
- Provides IT Support and escalation for Helpdesk issues when required.
- Work with external providers and parties on a wide range of integrations and systems.
- Contribute to continual improvement within the IT Department and Company.
- Partake and contribute to the Daily Stand-Ups, Sprint Retrospective and Sprint Planning sessions.
What we're looking for:
- Experienced C# .Net Developer with 3+ years' experience in a range of different industries and solutions.
- Whilst not essential, experience developing integrations with the VisualFiles SDK using C# would be a distinct advantage.
- Proficiency in C# and DotNet / DotNet Core.
- Experience with Entity Framework / Linq.
- Azure or similar cloud platforms.
- Azure DevOps, CI/CD preferred.
- Experience working collaboratively in a team is essential as you will be joining an existing Scrum Team.
- Provides IT Support and escalation when required.
- Ability to work with Agile Management Office to guide the BAs when scoping new development requests as to best practice and approach to process/screen/workflow/application setup.
- Be able to diagnose issues and problems with VisualFiles scripting code and integrations.
- Someone who can effectively communicate with a wide variety of colleagues, including non-technical staff.
- Not essential: experience developing web technologies including Blazor, React or other frameworks.
