Salary: £30,000

Location: Salisbury, Andover, Ringwood, Basingstoke

The role:

As you join Trooli being deployed as an experience Telecommunications Cabler you will play a critical role where you will work to the highest quality. You will be part of an installation team of four people. You will be working alongside one other cabler. One of the main responsibilities would be installing our own fiber optic cables inside the existing BT Openreach ducts to build our ultrafast broadband network. You will be covering a regional area.

Skills and Experience

• You must have have experience being deployed as a Cable Technician or Cable Installer
• Previous experience in carrying out acceptance testing using OTDR, Light source and also power meter.
• Experience in using traffic management systems is needed to be in accordance with Chapter 9
• Good understanding of how to carry out rodding and roping, So that we can establish whether the planned cable routes are clear and viable.
• Previous experience in installing, splicing, and securing fibre distribution points either underground or on mounted telegraph poles.
• Experience in erect overhead spans (36f/48f ULW) in accordance with the job packs.
• Must have experience working with Mount FP’s (our equivalent of CBT’s) to the top of telegraph poles using single, double, triple brackets and securing cable to pole in accordance to CP08
• It would be preferred if you've worked previously on a GIS system such as APX.
• Must take responsibility for the tools that are issued to you and you must take good care of the vehicle, So that you in accordance with our vehicle policy.
• Advanced knowledge of telecommunication systems and electrical equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical systems.
• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to travel.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work in cramped spaces.

Qualifications:

Ideally you will have one of the following qualifications or equivalent experience:

• NSRWA Unit 2 Signage, guarding and light.
• IPAF MEWP Mobile Boom 1B
• Current qualification to work on BT Network or an equivalent qualification.
• Full UK driving licence
