Ideal Recruit are currently looking for a CAD Designer and Artworker to join our clients manufacturing team in Blackburn.
As a CAD Designer and Artworker, you will be responsible for creating and updating the technical designs and preparing drawings for our production team using your skills in 2D design software. You will also be required to produce print-ready artwork using your knowledge of Adobe Illustrator.
The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail and possess meticulous attention to detail. You will be expected to expand your technical design skills, and we will provide you with effective training to do so.
Responsibilities
Transferring drawings from one software to another
Design and develop new products
Use CAD software to produce programs for our CNC machinery to run
Create and develop fully detailed drawings for both customer and Production use, ensuring the drawings and specification sheets are accurate to dimensions.
Ensure that safety and environmental compliance is adhered to within the design.
Checking and processing artwork ready for print and creating technical designs using CAD software ready for production.
Skills/Qualifications
With a minimum of 1+ years’ experience in 2D CAD Design, essentially with experience of using Adobe Illustrator, Coral and/or AutoCAD software.
Experience in Design Engineering, or a recognised qualification in CAD design essential.
Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels.
Ability to adapt and able to work under pressure.
