CAD Technician / AutoCAD

CAD Technicianwho has some previous experience using AutoCAD ideally within architectural design, building design, building surveying and/or property development is required for a privately owned Architectural Practice based in Melbourne, Derby, Derbyshire, West Midlands.

SALARY: £24,000 - £30,000 per annum (depending on experience) + Bonuses

LOCATION:Melbourne, Derby, Derbyshire, East Midlands

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

PLEASE NOTE: Candidates will need a Full Driving Licence and their own vehicle

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a CAD Technicianwho has some previous experience using AutoCAD ideally within architectural design, building design, building surveying and/or property development.

The company provides a full range of architectural services from planning to design and delivery.

Working as the CAD Technician you will be involved in an extensive range of projects through architectural drawing for a range of new builds, conversion, and refurbishment projects.

DUTIES

Your duties as the CAD Technician include:

• Create accurate and detailed CAD drawings using AutoCAD

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to develop design solutions

• Assist in the preparation of architectural and building plans, elevations, and sections

• Contribute to building surveys and site assessments as required

• Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations

• Support the development of design concepts and proposals

• Participate in project meetings and provide technical assistance as needed

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

As the CAD Technician you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

• Ideally you will hold Level 2 or above Auto CAD 2D skills supported by City and Guilds (or equivalent) qualifications. However, please note that the practice also welcome applications from candidates without formal qualifications, that are able to demonstrate a suitable level of skill gained through experience.

• Ideally you will have experience gained within architectural design, building design, building surveying and/or property development

• Proficiency using AutoCAD

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Personable, organised and self-motivated

• Have the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
