Our client is looking for a CAD Technician to design bespoke new stage, seating, and other temporary structures. This is a place where your skills contribute to creating impactful, technically challenging, and visually stunning projects.
Job Responsibilities
- Produce construction & fabrication drawings and bills of materials for staging, grandstands and bespoke temporary structures
- Calculate loads and stresses on different parts of the structures
- Choose appropriate materials based on structural specifications
- Collaborate with clients’ technical teams and project managers
- Develop design ideas using AutoCAD software
- Ensure all projects meet building codes
Person Specification
- Essential
- HND/HNC level or apprentice trained in an Engineering/Mechanical discipline
- Experience in the production of construction drawings using 2D and 3D Autocad software
- Familiar with designing to Eurocode standards
- Good knowledge and understanding of construction drawings
- Good understanding of structural systems and construction details
- Desirable
- Experienced at using structural calculation packages (Robot)
- Experience of the entertainment or scaffolding industry
- Experience of scheduling bills of materials

- Monday to Friday
- £30,000 to £35,000
