Cad Technician

The opportunity
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Cad Technician to join a highly dynamic team civil specialists to drive the development of key UK projects.
The role
As a CAD Technician, you will Work with Design Engineers to produce required design drawings.
Drawings in compliance with good CAD practice and relevant standards.
Estimated Duration - 12 months
40 hours per week
£39.77 Ltd per hour
This role has been deemed outside of IR35 (SME status)
Your duties and responsibilities will be

• Produce design drawings and models on programme and to budget
• Undertake work using formal processes and procedures.
• Manage and record time and assist in providing time estimates for tasks.
• Effective use of Projectwise and other document management systems
• Minimal rework requirements.
• Use appropriate standard details and design standards in preparing design drawings.
• 4 years’ draughting experience.
• Experienced in use of Microstation.
• Knowledge of engineering principals and ability to create and read engineering drawings.
• Effective time management and communication skills.
• Working Knowledge of relevant CAD standards and railway or utilities drawing practices.
• Experience in use of Project wise.
• Ability to produce bar bending schedules and reinforcement drawings for concrete.
• Experience with 3D modelling.

You will have the following qualifications & experience

• HNC Civil Engineering

It’s great if you also have the following

• RC/ Steelwork detailing ability.
