CAD/BIM Techician

Bennett and Game are looking for a CAD/BIM Technician for our client based out of the heart of Glasgow. The CAD/BIM Technician will be working for operate in a number of sectors including Commercial, Residential, Historical Buildings, Drainage, Infrastructure and many more.

Your responsibilities will include preparing models and drawings from hand sketches, layouts, and designs provided by civil and structural engineers and other team members. You will also be responsible for archiving and filing all drawings produced, as well as managing incoming drawing information from other design team members. The BIM department will oversee the plotting of all drawings.

Key Areas of Focus:

• Receipt and management/filing of incoming drawings from other design team members
• Preparation of C&S drawings for issue to external parties
• Use of Revit for modelling on C&S projects
• Filing and archiving of drawings
• General engineering assistance duties - scanning, PDF creation, setting up drawings, etc.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage the digital storage and reproduction of incoming and design drawings issued for projects.
• Adhere to BIM/CAD standards and layering conventions on all drawings produced
• Produce C&S design drawings created by C&S engineers for issue to external parties, meeting agreed programs and deadlines.
• Ensure the quality and presentation of models and drawings is maintained and improved.
• Follow company quality, environment, and H&S accredited standards as required for your role.
• Follow the training received when using any work items provided by your employer.
• Take reasonable care of your own and others' health and safety.
• Cooperate with your employer on health and safety matters.
