Birmingham Area

Salary circa £50,000

Our client based in Birmingham are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, CAD/CAM Manager to join their established team. The successful candidate will represent the business through excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a project-based environment. This is an exciting "hands on" opportunity for someone looking to join a company experiencing rapid growth. You will be influential in the investment into CAM software.

CAD/CAM Manager’s Key Responsibilities:

Create engineering drawings and programs with the use of CAD/CAM software considering current fixtures and tooling.
Set work and approve programmes with production.
Liaise with other departments to develop and improve methods manufacturing.
Creating digital information folders for production staff to use during the manufacturing process.

CAD/CAM Manager Key Skills:

Excellent communication, both verbal and written, with different levels of staff. Confident and able to train experience people in new ways to work to improve efficiencies.
Ability to establish and maintain digital documentation systems.
Set & programme CNC milling machines (currently 12 machines, with additional 5 axis on order). Knowledge of XYZ Siemens Controls preferable or other mainstream software.
Experience of 3 / 4 and 5 axis machinery
Able to improve processes and production capacity.
Extensive CAD/CAM experience with software packages such Autodesk Fusion 360.
Excellent organisational, numeracy and computer literacy skills.
The ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Metal Industry and CNC / Milling Machine background essential
