CAD/CAM Manager

Our client based in Birmingham are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, CAD/CAM Manager to join their established team. The successful candidate will represent the business through excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a project-based environment. This is an exciting "hands on" opportunity for someone looking to join a company experiencing rapid growth. You will be influential in the investment into CAM software.
CAD/CAM Manager’s Key Responsibilities:
- Create engineering drawings and programs with the use of CAD/CAM software considering current fixtures and tooling.
- Set work and approve programmes with production.
- Liaise with other departments to develop and improve methods manufacturing.
- Creating digital information folders for production staff to use during the manufacturing process.
CAD/CAM Manager Key Skills:
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written, with different levels of staff. Confident and able to train experience people in new ways to work to improve efficiencies.
- Ability to establish and maintain digital documentation systems.
- Set & programme CNC milling machines (currently 12 machines, with additional 5 axis on order). Knowledge of XYZ Siemens Controls preferable or other mainstream software.
- Experience of 3 / 4 and 5 axis machinery
- Able to improve processes and production capacity.
- Extensive CAD/CAM experience with software packages such Autodesk Fusion 360.
- Excellent organisational, numeracy and computer literacy skills.
- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Metal Industry and CNC / Milling Machine background essential
