Café Assistant

Housed in a landmark industrial building on the south bank of the River Tyne in Gateshead, Baltic is a major international centre for contemporary art.

We are recruiting friendly and dedicated Café Assistant to work within this iconic North East building, that is confident with customer interactions, maintaining our high service standard, working within in a busy café environment handling high volumes, and some food handling.

Full training and support will be provided. Come and be a part of our ambitious and growing team in one of the best locations in the North East.

We are recruiting for the following working patterns:

  • 1x Part time Saturday and Sunday 8 hours over 2 shifts. Overtime Available.

Key information

Reports to: Café Manager

Pay: £12.00 per hour

Working hours: Working 8-hour days on a rota basis across our opening days Wednesday – Sunday, 09.45am – 6.15pm, you must be available to work evenings and weekends.

Annual leave: 25 days plus bank holidays pro-rata
