Duration: 25th January 2024 - 23rd March 2024 (Approximately 8 weeks, with the possibility of extension)
Rate: 10.40 - 11.00 per hour
We are seeking a temporary staff member to cover the role of a General Assistant in our Caf .The successful candidate will be responsible for various duties within the caf setting and must be available during the specified period.
Your Responsibilities:
- Assist in daily operations of the Caf , including but not limited to serving customers, handling transactions, and maintaining cleanliness.
- Undertake general assistant duties as required, ensuring the smooth running of the establishment.
- Provide excellent customer service with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure a positive and efficient work environment.
- Maintain awareness and practice of safe food handling procedures.
- Handle busy periods with composure and efficiency.
Your Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience in a food environment is essential, with at least 1 year of industry experience.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable manner.
- Calm Under Pressure: Ability to remain calm and focused during busy periods.
- Team Player: Capable of working well under supervision and independently.
- Attitude: Positive "can do" attitude towards tasks and challenges.
Your qualifications:
- Level 2 3 Food Hygiene & Safety for Catering Certificate.
- Allergen Certificate.
- At least 1-year industry experience in a relevant role.

The successful candidate must be passionate about customer service and demonstrate the ability to handle pressure with composure. Experience in front-of-house, function, and conference environments is advantageous. The temporary position may extend for an additional week or more, depending on the recovery of our staff member.
