Café Assistant

We are looking for a Café Assistants to work front of house in a café serving a busy building in the centre of Aberdeen.

Successful candidates will be responsible for serving food and drink, operating the till, assisting customers with their orders and keeping the café clean and tidy.

Responsibilities will include:

· Making fresh coffee to order from our locally hand roasted coffee beans – the quality of our coffee is a big selling point for the café, so this is a very important part of the role

· Taking payment for hot food & drink orders

· Clearing tables and ensuring the café remains clean, tidy and presentable at all times

· Setting up the café in the morning – prepping all machines and ensuring we are ready to serve customers when we open

· Cleaning & closing down the Café at the end of the day

· Be aware of all Health and Safety and Hygiene regulations and follow these at all times

Successful Candidate will:

· Be friendly and outgoing and have good customer service manner, having previous customer service experience

· Be professional in their delivery of service in line with the office setting of the café

· Be enthusiastic about providing excellent quality coffee and food

· Be motivated and able to work on their own initiative

· Be able to work to a high standard without supervision

Barista experience essential

35 hours per week

Monday – Friday

Hours to fall between 07:45 and 14:15

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £11.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
