Cafe Manager

Experienced person required to operate our Country Cafe in Hawstead, 4 miles south of Bury St Edmunds which trades as MAGLIA ROSSO, in conjunction with our Cycle Shop and Glamping Site. The job includes hands-on kitchen work in cooking and preparing food and drink, serving customers, supervising other (part-time) staff, ordering supplies, cleaning and all other duties associated with running this side of the business. Experience of these duties is essential along with enthusiasm to enhance our reputation. Food hygiene certificate is required.

Applicants must have their own transport to our out-of-town location, and should reside within easy travelling distance. This is a five day-a-week post, including at least one day each weekend and ocassional evenings when we hold events. Average hours would be around 30 per week.

Starting rate would be GBP12 per hour, to be reviewed in line with performance after two months, paid monthly, with paid leave, and optional pension scheme.
