Job Summary:
The Sheffield Citadel Corps and Community Centre is a place where local Community can gather and enjoy fellowship. The Café is in the centre of the building and used by groups who hire out the various rooms. It is also frequented by customers who drop in to enjoy quality coffee and share with each other. We are looking for a person confident to run the café and the kitchen, providing good quality food and drinks using a Barista.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and organising the Café to both provide a clean and comfortable environment and ensure that good quality food is served.
- Responsibility for sourcing ingredients and managing a budget.
- Leading on preparing, cooking and serving food for the café customers, as well as supervising volunteers within the kitchen that will assist with these duties.
- Ensuring that all food hygiene and health and safety regulations are achieved at all times.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
- Relevant qualification and experience in food preparation (Food Handling & Hygiene Level 2)
- Experience in a work environment that includes managing and training volunteers
- Knowledge of Health and Safety and Food Hygiene Regulations
