Bom Bom Cafe Team Member
- Do you get a kick out of delighting people with delicious food and exceptional coffee?
- Have you got a natural rapport that will keep our customers coming back for more?
- Do you want to grow in a hospitality role that can offer exciting opportunities to progress?
If this sounds like you, then read on.
We’re Bom Bom Patisserie and we’re looking for a new Cafe Team Member to work part-time at one of our sites. We have a position available in our new store in Rothley.
Help us towards our goal of one million cookies
Bom Bom is growing at pace and has an exciting and ambitious future ahead. We have a "Big Hairy Audacious Goal" of selling one million cookies - enough to pave a line of cookies from Loughborough to London. It’s a huge challenge and we’re building a bright team of people to get us there.
Help us brighten everyone’s day
Perhaps more importantly than our big audacious goal of one million cookies is our vision of ‘Everyone’s day brightened by Bom Bom’. We’re expanding our brilliant team of passionate and committed people, who work hard to make sure everyone feels like they belong, are treated like friends and can enjoy our exceptional food and coffee.
That’s where you come in. And while you work your magic brightening our customers’ days, we’ll do everything we can to brighten yours.
We’re on a mission to create the best possible place to work for our vibrant and growing team - somewhere you can elevate your expertise, play to your strengths and build a successful and sustainable career. One where you feel valued, supportive, safe and where you belong.
Here’s the sort of thing you’ll be doing as a Cafe Team Member:
All front of house staff will work together to ensure the ongoing smooth operation of the café, including but not limited to:
- Serving customers at the till, preparing savoury and sweet food orders, baking cookies, making coffee and other drinks and keeping a clean and tidy working environment.
- Setting up the café for service in the mornings prior to opening - organising daily deliveries of cakes, sandwiches, milk, pastries and other supplies.
- Closing the café at the end of the day – cleaning down, washing up, stock taking and preparation for the following day.
- Adhering to food safety and hygiene standards and relevant health and safety practices.
- Working towards personal and team goals on a daily basis.
What we’re looking for from you
We’ll make sure you get all the training you need to become the best Team Member you can be within Bom Bom. What we do need you to come with is a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and an eagerness to develop in your role and help Bom Bom become the best it can be.
Other key bits about the role
- You’ll be a part-time Team Member at one of our sites.
- We anticipate that this role could lead to full-time employment if you perform well in the role and a full-time opportunity becomes available.
- It’s five days a week (minimum 15 hours), and we are closed on Sundays.
- Initial work pattern would be Tuesday to Friday 11am to 2pm, Saturday 9am to 4pm.
- You’ll get 28 days’ holiday, including approx. two weeks off over Christmas/New Year, when we shut up shop so everyone can take a well-earned “proper” break.
- You’ll enjoy a variety of benefits and perks: our wellbeing programme includes free professional counselling, access to our Wellbeing app and free sanitary products, and you’ll get discounted food and drink during your shift, and discounts for your family.
