Cafe Volunteer (hospice)

Overview:

We're looking for enthusiastic and friendly volunteers to help us in this sociable role which supports the hospice's catering team to provide a professional hospitality service in the Café to our patients, visitors, employees and volunteers.

As a Volunteer, you will have the opportunity to contribute your time and skills to support our organisation's mission and make a positive impact in the community.

Responsibilities:

• Setting up and closing down.
• Cleaning tables, washing crockery and cutlery (in dishwasher).
• Restocking fridge and counter supplies.
• Taking orders for food and drinks.
• Preparing drinks
• Assisting customers with their food choices

Requirements:

• Ability to co-ordinate, prioritise and organise tasks
• Polite and friendly with great customer service orientation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Reliable and punctual
• Willingness to learn and take on new tasks
• Passion for contributing to a cause or community initiative
