Job description

Are you passionate about bringing your art psychotherapy skills to benefit children and young people? An exciting opportunity has become available for a qualified and experienced Art Psychotherapist to work in the Central Norfolk Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) Team.
We are looking for someone with experience of delivering Art Therapy to children and young people, as well as a broader comprehensive range of skills and knowledge to deliver the additional clinical aspects of the role. You will have excellent communication skills both verbal and written and enjoy being part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team.
It is an exciting time to join our CAMHS teams as we review our ways of working, to ensure our services are needs led, outcome informed and accessible for the young people within Norfolk and Waveney. We expect there will be opportunities to be involved in providing specialist mental health care in a creative and innovative way, informed by overarching THRiVE principles.
In this role you will be required to provide specialist evidenced based assessment and therapeutic intervention to children and young people with mental health difficulties. We are currently working to implement newly aligned treatment pathways and have identified a gap in our art therapy provision.
You will be expected to work autonomously within professional guidelines, however will be a valued member of a multi-disciplinary team. You will at times offer advice and consultation on young people's psychological care to colleagues and other agencies. To support your role in the team you will be provided with regular clinician supervision and opportunities for training and development.
Our Central Norfolk CAMHS Team is based in Norwich at Mary Chapman House. We provide assessment and treatment to young people with moderate to severe mental health difficulties.
We pride ourselves on being a welcoming, talented, friendly and supportive team who like nothing better than sharing our experiences and learning from each other.
Please see the attached job description for further information, including detailed person specification
We warmly welcome you to come and visit and meet with us to see if this is the right job for you.
