Job description

Job Title: Campus Cleaning Coordinator

Location: Bloomsbury, London

Salary: £15.38-£18.35 per hour

Day to Day of the role:

  • Coordinate the work of cleaning teams and supervisors, ensuring high standards across designated buildings.
  • Collect and analyse data to measure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and report against Service Levels.
  • Induct new staff, uphold BICS standards, and identify training needs for personal and team development.
  • Conduct regular checks and audits to maintain Service Levels and ensure clarity in processes and procedures.
  • Maintain regular contact with Heads of Department and key users to understand and anticipate cleaning needs.
  • Deliver the cleaning service in line with Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental procedures.
  • Manage stores, stock taking, and the issuing of cleaning supplies.
  • Keep accurate records of staff training, holidays, sickness, and timekeeping.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Good level of numeracy and literacy in English.
  • NVQ2 or BTEC in Cleaning (training provided if necessary).
  • Qualifications in Health and Safety Management, Managing and Leadership, ISO9001 (desirable).
  • Customer Care Certificate and IOSH Working Safely Certificate (desirable).
  • Proven experience as a Cleaning Supervisor or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of Health and Safety and COSHH requirements.
  • Competent in using computer systems and delivering excellent customer service.
