Job description

About the Role

The Campus Facilities Manager fulfils a key role at one of the College Campuses (Dearne Valley College, Rotherham College or North Notts College) by ensuring that all Campus buildings are available, accessible, safe and provide a suitable environment for the use of students, staff and visitors.

You will manage a team of Facilities staff on a specified campus directing and co-ordinating staff on day to day activities including cleaning services, maintenance, porterage and small projects. You will be responsible for the preparation and delivery of annual planned maintenance schedule of works and to ensure maintenance records of all assets on campus meet Health and Safety requirements. The role will liaise and supervise contractors on site to ensure quality of work and value for money.

You will train and develop your team onsite to provide an efficient, cohesive and responsive team to meet the ever-changing demands of the Campus. All campus locations across the RNN Group are currently undergoing a number of projects to upgrade facilities for learners which will be completed for the start if the academic year commencing in September 2024.

You will…

You will have prior experience of working in a Facilities management/supervisory role, ideally within education but this is not essential.

You will hold a recognised qualification in Facilities Management and an IOSH Health & Safety qualification. A current valid First Aid Qualification or willingness to undertake is desirable.

You will report to the Head of Facilities Estates, taking responsibility for Facilities and Estates function on a nominated campus. You will lead of team of Caretakers and Cleaners on site and work co-operatively with colleagues across all College Campus’s and premises.
