additional London Weighting payment of £4,687 pro rata per annum

GCU London is the London-based postgraduate campus of Glasgow Caledonian University. GCU London is now looking to appoint an additional Campus Librarian to help to lead and provide an efficient and best practice academic library service that responds to the varied academic and professional disciplines represented at GCU London.
You will need significant, up to date experience of working in an academic library setting or equivalent library service experience. In addition to possessing excellent organisational and customer service skills, you will have experience of monitoring the effectiveness of services and contributing to their development and promotion as well as experience of taking steps to enhance user satisfaction.
The ability to teach academic library skills and present to groups of students is also a pre-requisite of this role, as is the ability to adapt style to suit different situations and provide clear, objective advice and guidance.
The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues both within the London campus and wider across the University Directorates in a collegiate manner, sharing best practice and lending support to others as required.
